§0 · PART-OUT SOFTWARE FOR SALVAGE OPERATORS

You take
the pictures.
It builds the listings.

Dismantlr turns a camera roll of parts into publish-ready eBay listings — identified from the photos, titled, spec’d, tagged, and tracked from bench to sold. You review the drafts and make the calls a human should make: the price, the words, the judgment.

§1 · DIVISION OF LABOR

An honest split of the work.

Most listing software hands you the forms to fill out. Dismantlr fills them out for you. Here’s the entire job, divided the way it actually divides:

You

THE JUDGMENT
  • Shoot the parts

Use our app to stream photos in as you shoot, or your own camera for batch upload.

  • Confirm the guess

The photo group and the part type arrive pre-selected. Agree, or fix it — your edit sticks.

  • Call the price

Live eBay price comparison, the OEM list price, or your gut. The judgment call stays yours.

  • Hit publish

Or touch up a word first. Anything you hand-edit is never overwritten.

TOTAL: 4 MOVES, ALL JUDGMENT

Dismantlr

THE LABOR
  • Sorts the batch by camera capture time
  • Groups burst shots into parts — no manual sorting
  • Streams photos from the phone app into the lister as you shoot
  • Identifies the part type from the photos
  • Applies the type when it’s sure, and backs off the moment you touch it
  • Composes the title — year/make/model + type + part number + buyer keywords, folded to eBay’s 80 characters
  • Surfaces the numbers the factory superseded — one click folds them into the title or the subtitle
  • Fills the eBay item specifics, and records who filled every field
  • Holds publish while a required specific is missing, so eBay can’t bounce it
  • Mints the next SKU
  • Pulls live asking-price comps — exact part number and the wider market
  • Looks the number up in an OEM reference 9 million parts deep — list price, factory description, full fitment
  • Rounds suggested prices to .95 — the prices you type yourself are left alone
  • Drafts the description, fitment table included
  • Publishes fitment as real eBay compatibility — the table buyers filter by
  • Prints the QR part tag when you save
  • Publishes to eBay and retries the failures — a worker does it, not you
  • Keeps eBay in step both ways — your edits push out; edits made on eBay, sales and endings come back
  • Syncs new orders and builds daily pick lists in walk order
  • Tracks your inventory as it moves through the warehouse
  • Numbers invoices automatically and links each order straight to Shippo for postage
  • Watches bin weight and flags a tote before it hurts someone

§2 · PROCEDURE

Machine in, listings out.

  1. 01

    Set up the donor

Enter the machine once — year, make, model, condition, your listing defaults. Dismantlr matches it against the OEM reference as you type, lines up the factory diagrams for that exact machine, and pins it to eBay’s own vehicle catalog so fitment has something real to publish against later.

  2. 02

    Shoot the machine

Take your pics of each part — up to 12 photos, tap Next Part, keep going. The AI starts naming parts before you’re back at the desk.

AUTO PHOTO GROUPING · AI PART ID ON EVERY PHOTO

  3. 03

    Review the listings

Almost everything is filled out automatically. Verify the details, make corrections if necessary, add weight and dimensions, and you’re ready to publish to eBay and list your next part.

    PROVENANCE-TRACKED SPECIFICS · REQUIRED-FIELD PUBLISH GATE

  4. 04

    Sell, pick, ship

New orders sync in, and a daily pick list is generated with pictures, locations, and bin codes. Pull the part, pack it, scan your shipping link, and you’re all finished up.

§3 · RESEARCH BENCH

For the parts that fight back.

A mystery casting with a half-worn number can be the best money in the pile — if you can name it. The research bench is built into the lister, not bolted on.

LIVE MARKET · ASKING PRICES

Live price comps

Two searches run side by side — your exact part number, and the wider market by keyword. Low, median, average, high: each one a button that sets your price.

9 MILLION+ PARTS DEEP

The OEM reference

Type a part number with or without the dashes. Get the OEM list price, the factory description, and every machine that ever used it.

REAL EBAY COMPATIBILITY

Fitment, published

Catalog fitment doesn’t stop at the description. It publishes into eBay’s actual compatibility table — the one buyers filter by.

YOU KNOW THE MACHINE BEST

Point the researcher

Know exactly which machine you’ve got? Point the researcher straight at it and the factory parts data comes back for that exact model — no guessing.

TRACEABILITY · EVIDENCE · BYO AI

The aviation bench

Aircraft parts get their own workspace: part-number decode, evidence and traceability fields, and your own AI provider wired in if you want one.

SUPERSEDED NUMBERS — VERIFIED CHAIN, NEVER GUESSED

The number the factory replaced.

A number gets superseded and buyers go on searching the old one for years. Dismantlr pulls the verified chain out of the catalog and puts either number in your title or subtitle with a click — and it reads which way the chain runs from the factory record, never from how the number looks.

§4 · SHOP OPERATIONS

Listing is half the job. This is the other half.

One system runs the whole shop — where every part sits, every order and invoice, and the numbers that tell you whether a machine was worth buying.

THE FLOOR

Inventory, top to bottom

  • QR on everything. Bins, shelves, parts, donor machines — all of it scannable from the phone app.

  • Receive a pile fast. Set the destination tote once, then scan part after part. The target sticks until you change it.

  • Move anything, tracked. Part to bin, bin to a new shelf — contents ride along, and every placement, move, and pick is logged: who, when, how.

  • Bins that respect your back. A 40 lb lift line with live fill bars — warns, never blocks. Worklists for heaviest, room left, over the line, and totes worth reclaiming.

  • Pick lists in walk order. Built live from paid orders and sorted so you walk the building once. No bouncing around all over.

  • A label shop built in. Part, bin, shelf, and project tags on thermal stock. Part tags print themselves the moment a listing saves.

  • In step with eBay, both ways. Change a price, quantity, or description here and it pushes to the live listing. Edit it in Seller Hub instead and the change comes back — adopted here where that is safe, flagged on the part where it isn’t, always with the old value beside the new. Sales, endings, and takedowns come back the same way.

THE PAPERWORK

Orders & invoicing, built in

  • Orders arrive on their own. eBay sales sync automatically. Sold it on Facebook, Mercari, or across the counter for cash? Hand-enter it — same inventory, honest counts.

  • Every order is the invoice. A sequential invoice number stamps itself the instant an order exists. No separate step, no gaps for the bookkeeper.

  • The invoice is the shipping label. Printed, the ship-to block lands right on the peel-out label — peel it and it’s on the box. Line items print with bin locations and a photo of every part, so the invoice doubles as the pick sheet.

  • Scan the paper, buy postage. A QR on each invoice jumps straight to that order in Shippo, ready to buy the label.

THE BOOKS

Reports that answer questions

  • ROI per machine. The whole P&L for every donor: purchase price, nine expense categories, revenue, net profit, ROI %, and what’s still on the shelf.

  • Accountant-ready tax report. Sales by month, quarter, and marketplace with taxable vs exempt backed out — one click to CSV.

  • A crew, with numbers. Passwordless invites and roles — and per-person output: listings a day, completion times, value created, over 7 / 30 / 90 days.

  • Stale stock gets moved. Listings age into 30 / 60 / 90-day buckets; one click marks them down and pushes the new price to the live eBay listing immediately.

  • A full audit trail. Thirteen record types logged with field-level before-and-after. Every physical movement is chain-of-custody.

  • One dashboard. Revenue this month vs last, net profit, inventory value, orders waiting, bins at a glance.

§5 · THE PHONE

Your phone is on the crew.

Dismantlr ships with an iPhone app built for the parts of the job that happen away from the desk — the yard, the bench, the receiving pile. Not the website squeezed small: a camera, a scanner, and your whole inventory, right there at the machine.

LIVE PHOTO STREAM · PHONE → LISTER

Shoot the parts. They land at the desk.

Open the camera and work down the machine, part by part — every photo uploads as you take it and shows up in the lister seconds later. One person can shoot out in the yard while another builds listings at the desk. No cable, no card reader, no emailing yourself photos.

INVENTORY SCANNER · CONTINUOUS

Every tag in the building, one scanner.

Every part, bin, and shelf wears a QR tag — and the phone reads them all, no menu to dig through: continuous scanning, a chirp per catch, and a sticky destination so receiving a pile is scan, scan, scan.

  • Look up any part where it sits — fix the price, quantity, or notes, and the edit pushes to the live eBay listing.

  • Move parts and whole totes bin to shelf; every placement is logged.

  • Pull paid orders with the pick list on the screen.

§6 · PRICE LIST

One flat rate per project type.

Buy a module for each kind of machine you part out. A module is the whole system for that vertical — the lister, the AI photo ID, the research bench, the part-type catalog, bins, orders, and reports. $299 a month, flat — the founding shop rate, down from $499. Aviation runs $599 instead of $899; it carries its own evidence workflow and specialty catalog.

Sign up at the founding rate and it’s locked for a year. Prices go to list as the platform fills out — your rate holds for twelve months from the day you sign, whatever happens to the list price in between.
